Asylum Access is committed to building a global refugee rights movement beyond countries where we have offices. In 2010, we began developing the Refugee Rights Toolkit to enable refugee rights advocates to replicate Asylum Access’s model in any country in the world.
An office-in-a-box tool, the Toolkit incorporates our internal lessons, training materials, and operations manuals into comprehensive online resource. Combining the best elements of an instructional video, training course and reference tool, the Toolkit is designed for easy customization and use for both program and operational needs.
Beyond empowering refugee rights advocates, the Toolkit is designed to catalyze the global movement by connecting isolated refugee rights communities across borders — nationally, regionally and even worldwide. An advanced version of the Toolkit will provide a forum for dialogue around best practices in refugee legal aid and policy advocacy to a broad community of users.
In 2012, Asylum Access announced the soft launch of the Refugee Rights Toolkit, now available to selected pilot users in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Asylum Access will release the alpha version of the Toolkit following further improvements.
