Based in Mexico City, Alejandra oversees the activities and operations of the Asylum Access Mexico offices across the country. Additionally, she leads policy advocacy and network building around the “Ruta de Hospitalidad” initiative. Alejandra first joined in June of 2015, when Asylum Access Mexico was created to fill the gap in legal empowerment for refugees near the southern border Mexican with Guatemala.
Alejandra is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Human Rights at Universidad Iberoamericana. Prior to joining Asylum Access, Alejandra defended and advocated refugee rights through legal representation.
