Lisa is Asylum Access Thailand’s Refugee Case Manager. In this role, she oversees the implementation of AAT’s legal services by the legal team, including through the provision of direct legal aid to Thailand’s urban refugee communities as well as engaging with key stakeholders and contributing to policy and advocacy activities.
Prior to joining Asylum Access Thailand, Lisa worked on legal aid and detention matters in the Immediate Office of the Registrar at the UN International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals, both in The Netherlands and Tanzania. Previously. Lisa worked on transitional justice and post-conflict development issues with Refugee Law Project in Uganda. She subsequently ran her own immigration-focussed consulting firm in Uganda before moving back to the Netherlands to work with the Office for Legal Aid and Defence at the UN International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.
Lisa holds an LL.B and LL.M in Public International Law from Leiden University.
