Asylum Access Mexico National Legal Services and Community Outreach Coordinator
Based in Distrito Federal, Mexico, Alejandra oversees the activities and operations of the AAMX offices in Tenosique, Palenque, and Acayucan. Additionally, she leads policy advocacy and network building around the “Ruta de Hospitalidad” initiative. Alejandra first joined AAMX in June of 2015, when AAMX was created to fill the gap in legal empowerment for refugees near the southern border Mexican with Guatemala.
Alejandra is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Human Rights at Universidad Iberoamericana. Prior to joining Asylum Access, Alejandra defended and advocated refugee rights through legal representation.
