Carlos – A Refugee’s Testimony

We met Carlos in a border town in Colombia, where he told us why refugee legal status matters. He also had a message to government decision-makers on how they could enable self-sufficiency for Ecuador’s 120,000 recognized refugees. Tens of thousands more are believed to live as ‘undocumented migrants’, refugees without legal status and without access to rule of law protections that prevent further injustice.
