María Adelaida Hernández is the Finance Operations Associate Director at Asylum Access, managing grants budgeting, reporting, compliance and recognition across the organization by partnering with country offices and HQ staff. With more than 8 years of experience in the NGO sector, María has previously worked with Grameen Foundation at their Colombia office where she led the office grant financial management and served as the project manager of a project that partnered with the Interamerican Development Bank, Starbucks and a coffee Cooperative. She then moved to work with the coffee Cooperative, delosAndes, where she led the projects area, managing infrastructure and development programs directed to the coffee growers.

María holds a Bachelor of International Business from EAFIT University in Medellín, Colombia, a European Bachelor in Administration from IECS University in Strasbourg, France and a Master of International Cooperation and Project Management from Ortega and Gasset Institute in Madrid, Spain.
