Siva is a passionate human rights activist in Malaysia. She spent most of her college days at the National University of Malaysia (UKM) doing advocacy and social justice work for the marginalized communities in Malaysia including refugees and migrants. Her first career began in 2005 at UNHCR Malaysia where she learnt more about the struggle of refugees and asylum seekers. Seven years later, she left UNHCR and became an activist in a labor rights organization.
In 2016, she returned to refugee rights advocacy by joining Asylum Access Malaysia, and to this day Siva remains a strong advocate for the forcibly displaced communities. She believes that every human being has a significant role in making the world a better place for all beings on this earth, sharing resources, and ending all discrimination and violence.
