As the year ends, I want to thank you for standing alongside us at Asylum Access. This season of reflection offers an opportunity to share why our work in the current global context matters so deeply to me. I’ve been part of the Asylum Access team since 2016, drawing upon my background in human rights law and my unwavering commitment to challenging power and injustice.
Recent global policy changes and campaign promises, including mass deportations from the United States, cast a troubling shadow over the safety and dignity of millions. I am deeply concerned about the road ahead. These developments make our mission more urgent than ever.
Throughout this appeal, we’ve shared stories from the communities we serve and updates on our work in Malaysia, Mexico, Thailand, and beyond. Each story reflects our belief that every person has the right to seek safety and thrive—no matter where they are from or where they are going.
But we cannot do this alone. Today, we stand with and work for those fearing deportation, family separation, detention, or enduring xenophobic attacks. Your support ensures we can continue advocating for refugees to live safely, rebuild, and thrive despite growing challenges.
Thanks to your generosity, we’ve raised over $72,000 so far over the last few weeks. Every gift brings us closer to meeting our year-end goal and enables us to carry our vital work forward into 2025.
With a last call to our friends, allies, and supporters for this year, I ask you to join us in upholding the rights of forcibly displaced communities. Your contributions will directly support refugees, empower communities, and foster a future where every person is treated with dignity and respect.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today to help us continue defending refugees’ human rights in 2025 and beyond. Thanks to you, we will be one step closer to a world where all people seeking refuge are embraced with respect, care, and opportunities.
Thank you for standing with us. Warmest wishes for a safe, joyous holiday season and a bright New Year.
