Regional Working Group for the Brazil Plan of Action

Asserting the rights of people in need of international protection in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Asylum Access Latin America and 30+ other civil society organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean have united to create the Regional Working Group for the Brazil Plan of Action (GAR-PAB). The Regional Working Group rose as an initiative to articulate the position of civil society on the state of international protection and promote the implementation and follow up of the 2014 Brazil Plan of Action, which seeks to maintain the highest protection standards internationally and regionally.

The group is made up of experts and key actors in topics related to international protection in the region, many of whom contributed to “Cartagena +30 Initiative“, a report that gave place to the proposals and goals established in the Brazil Plan of Action.
